The European Commission has launched its Digital Finance Strategy (DFS) for the EU in the form of a Communication to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions.
Within the DFS, the Commission has set four priorities up to 2024:
1. Removing fragmentation in the Digital Single Market for financial services;
2. Adapting the EU regulatory framework to facilitate digital innovation;
3. Promoting data-driven innovation in finance by establishing a common financial data space;
4. Addressing the challenges and risks associated with digital transformation.
