European Banking Authority (EBA) Consultation on Guidelines amending the Guidelines EBA/2021/02 on customer due diligence and the factors credit and financial institutions should consider when assessing the money laundering and terrorist financing risk associated with individual business relationships and occasional transactions (‘The ML/TF Risk Factors Guidelines’) under Art. 17 and 18(4) of Directive 2015/849/EU (AMLD), 31 May 2023

On 31 May 2023, the EBA published a Consultation Paper (CP) on Guidelines amending the ML/TF Risk Factors Guidelines (EBA/GL/2021/02). The EBA consultation goes from 31 May 2023 until 31 August 2023. Comments can be sent by clicking on the ‘send your comments’ button on the consultation page. The EBA will hold a virtual public hearing on the CP on 7 June 2023.
