Robert Donovan, Chief Compliance Officer, Bitpay

Robert joined BitPay as Chief Compliance Officer in February 2024, bringing extensive experience in regulatory and compliance roles. Prior to BitPay, he was the Managing Director at PwC’s Consulting practice, focusing on Cybersecurity, Risk, and Regulatory matters. Robert’s career also includes a significant tenure as a New York State financial regulator, where he was responsible for cryptocurrency regulation (Bitlicense), cybersecurity, bank and trust supervision, financial crime risk remediation, and resolution planning. Prior to pubic service, he spent 15 years in client facing and risk management roles at global banks.
