ECB launch of its call for expressions of interest in participating in the Pontes market contact group, 15 July 2025

On the 15^th of July 2025, the European Central Bank launched a call for expressions of interest inviting financial market stakeholders to express their formal interest in participating in the Pontes market contact group. The latter will facilitate an active dialogue with the market concerning the Pontes project to allow distributed ledger technology transactions to be settled in euro using central bank money. The contact group should advise the Eurosystem on activities related to the project’s delivery, and will report to the ECB Market Infrastructure Board in line with its mandate.

Interested stakeholders are invited to complete the application form and submit it to the ECB at Pontes@ecb.europa.eu by the 29^th of August 2025. The contact group plans to initiate its work in October 2025.
