On the 3rd of July 2025, the European Supervisory Authorities (the European Banking Authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, and the European Securities and Markets Authority – the ESAs) announced the signature of a multilateral Memorandum of Understanding with the European Union’s Authority for Anti-Money Laundering (AMLA) to ensure effective cooperation and information exchange with one another. The Memorandum aims to promote supervisory convergence across the EU’s financial sector whilst enhancing cross-sectoral learning and capacity building among supervisors in areas of mutual interest.
