European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Questions and Answers on the implementation of Regulation 2022/858/EU on a pilot regime for market infrastructures based on distributed ledger technology (DLT Pilot Regime Regulation), 31 March 2023

On 31^st of March 2023, following the approval of the final legislative text of Regulation (EU) 2022/858 (DLT Pilot Regime Regulation) on the 30^th of May 2022 and subsequent entering into force on the 22^nd of June 2022, ESMA addressed some of the questions that have since arisen in relation to the practical application of the instrument concerning distributed ledger technology (DLT) pilot regime in connection with Central Securities Depositories Regulation (CSDR), Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) and Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR).
