Niels Ploeger, Chief Compliance Officer, Bitonic

Niels is Chief Compliance Officer at Bitonic. He completed his propaedeutic year of Dutch Law, followed by a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Criminology. After working seven years for the Dutch Police and five years for the Anti Money Laundering Centre (AMLC) of the Dutch Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD), he joined Adyen as AML Compliance Officer. In 2021 he followed his passion by joining Bitonic as Risk Officer. Late 2023 his stay at Bitonic was interrupted for a role as Head of Compliance at Takeaway Payments of Just Eat Takeaway.com to return again to Bitonic as CCO in September 2025.
