Aart Jan Thomas de Jong is the Chief Compliance Officer for BitPay B.V. and holds responsibility for ensuring that BitPay B.V. implements and maintains compliance with applicable regulation as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider. Thom de Jong is an experienced compliance professional having worked in Dutch regulated firms as well as the Dutch regulator, De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. Thom de Jong has in excess of 19 years experience in the field of compliance and is a specialist in developing risk based controls for the prevention of financial crime. Thom has a background in law having studied at Rijksuniversiteit Leiden and has lectured and written on AML related topics.
