European Parliament’s ECON Committee’s vote on the final compromise text on the Proposal for a Payment Services Regulation (PSR), 5 May 2026

On 5^th of May 2026, the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) of the European Parliament voted on the provisional agreement resulting from interinstitutional negotiations on the European Commission’s Proposal for a Regulation on payment services in the internal market (PSR), amending the Regulation establishing a European Supervisory Authority (European Banking Authority) (1093/2010/EU). The Rapporteur for the ECON Report on the proposal is MEP René Repasi (S&D, Germany). The final compromise text was adopted by roll-call vote with 50 votes in favour, 2 votes against and 2 abstentions.
