CONSOB (Italian Authority responsible for regulating the Italian securities market) and the Bank of Italy have jointly issued a press release in which they warn against the risks inherent in crypto-assets.
The two institutions have highlighted that, since the Commission’s Proposal for a Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) has not entered into force yet, the purchase of crypto-assets lacks specific forms of protection.
