On 15 November 2024, the European Supervisory Authorities (the European Banking Authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, and the European Securities and Markets Authority – the ESAs) published a Decision on the information that competent authorities (CAs) must report to them in order to designate CTPPs under Regulation 2022/2554/EU (DORA). The Decision outlines a general framework to annually report to the ESAs the necessary information for the CTPP designation.
The Decision enters into force immediately and must apply as of 17 January 2025. CAs must report the registers of information on contractual arrangements of the financial entities with CTPPs by 30 April 2025.
The ESAs also published a list of validation rules which will be used when analysing the registers of information and the visual representation of the data model. These rules will be included in the updated reporting technical package (including the updated data point model, taxonomy and validation rules), which is set to be published in December 2024.
Financial entities that are interested in learning more about how to prepare their registers of information and hear about the May 2024 Dry Run exercise under DORA are invited to participate in a virtual information workshop on 18 December 2024 (10:00 to 13:00). Interested stakeholders can register for the workshop at the following link by 16 December 2024.
