European Parliament appointment of its (Shadow) Rapporteur(s) for its Draft Report on the European Commission’s proposal for a Settlement Finality Regulation under the Market Integration Package, 21 January 2026

On the 21^st of January 2026, the European Parliament appointed MEP Giovanni Crosetto (ECR, Italy) as the Rapporteur for the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) Draft Report on the European Commission’s proposal for a Regulation on settlement finality (Settlement Finality Regulation). It also appointed the following MEPs as Shadow Rapporteurs for the legislative file: Markus Ferber (EPP, Germany), Eero Heinäluoma (S&D, Finland), Jaroslav Knot (PfE, Czechia), Billy Kelleher (Renew, Ireland), Kira-Marie Peter Hansen (Greens/EFA, Denmark) and Gaetano Pedullà (The Left, Italy).

The public consultation on the proposal, which the European Commission launched on the 18^th of December 2025, is open until the 6^th of April 2026 (midnight Brussels time). Interested stakeholders can submit their feedback at the following link.
