The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has held a virtual Plenary, the last one under the Chinese presidency. Inter alia, the plenary discussed the priorities of the upcoming German Presidency, as of 1 July 2020.

Amongst its key points, the German Presidency stressed the importance of focusing on the opportunities that technology can offer, by launching an initiative to monitor risks and explore opportunities that the digital transformation of our economies and societies brings to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT) efforts.
