
Violaine Champetier de Ribes, Member of the Blockchain and Virtual Currencies Working Group for CryptoProcessing, was awarded the insignia of Knight of the National Order of Merit during an official ceremony held on Friday, the 16th of January 2026, at the restaurant of the French Senate in Paris, France.
The insignia were presented by Mr Olivier Cadic, Senator for French citizens abroad, in the presence of His Excellency Viljar Lubi, Estonian Ambassador to France, Charles Maridor, General Delegate of CCI France International, representatives of French and Estonian institutions, business leaders, and representatives of the France-Estonia Chamber of Commerce and Industry who travelled from Tallinn for the ceremony: Bouygues Travaux Publics, Chocolala, CoinsPaid, 5.0 Robotics, Mast Production and Quatre deux deux, as well as stakeholders involved in the development of economic relations between France and Estonia.
Based in Estonia for the past five years, Violaine Champetier de Ribes co-founded the France–Estonia Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide a structured framework for companies wishing to develop between the two countries. The Chamber supports French and Estonian companies, promotes the Franco-Estonian business community in Tallinn, organises economic missions and facilitates targeted, high-value-added networking opportunities.
