On the 16th of October 2025, the Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities (the European Banking Authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, and the European Securities and Markets Authority – the ESAs) published its 2026 Work Programme. The ESAs will work together to, among other things, ensure the effective operation of the Oversight Framework for critical third-party ICT providers under Regulation 2022/2554/EU (DORA); foster financial education and consumer protection in the EU financial sector, including within the context of the European Commission’s Savings and Investments Union initiative; monitor developments on the securitisation market; and support the review of Regulation 2019/2088/EU (SFDR).
