On the 4th of November 2026, the European Commission published its 2027 Work Programme. The Annexes to the Work Programme list, among the priority pending proposals, the Master Regulation, the Master Directive and the Settlement Finality Regulation as part of the Market Integration and Supervision Package (MISP) within the Savings and Investments Union (SIU). On the other hand, the European Commission decided to withdraw its proposal for a Financial Data Access Regulation (FiDA) which, with no trilogues having taken place since June 2025, was unlikely to secure support in the Council within a reasonable timeframe.
